Israel Travel safety

Bein HarimIsrael tour operators strives to ensure the safety of all its travelers to all Israel Guided Tours by implementation of all measures possible. Bein Harim operates all year round according to the stipulations of the Ministries of Transport, Tourism and Internal Security (Police and Police traffic departments) as regard to Israel travel agencies.

All our vehicles are fully insured and comply with the Ministry of transport and tourism operational standards for Israel Travel. (Ie: max passenger carriage law, Mechanical safety measures, safety belts, and movable stair entry).

Our Israel guided Tours, comply with the official standards and decorum in the field of Israel Travel, both in the field of knowledge and expertise and acceptable social norms. This is also the Tour company policy to expect excellent service from our drivers and tour guides. During all our Israel tours, the tour guide has contact with the main office that is open 24/7. All our tour guides carry cellular phones.

The highly qualified safety measures and precautions you will encounter on your very first entry in to the country are implemented to ensure maximum security  to make your travel to Israel safe. Thus, it is recommended to anyone who travels in Israel to co-operate with the Police and security forces under all circumstances. Invasive security checks (such as at the airport, shopping malls, car parks, museums, supermarkets and markets) are all part of life here however intrusive they may be. Such measures are highly welcomed by the local population to assure their personal safety.

These measures may be somewhat hard to understand for anyone on his first Israel Trip.  In many public places the traveler is likely to encounter young soldiers (both men and women) carrying their personal weapon. This is standard military procedure. Armed security guards as well as volunteer security brigades cover all urban and interurban bus /train terminals.

Taxi transportation in Israel is readily available, safe and economical. Most drivers understand English. Rates for the ride can be determine in advance .Receipts should be given on request. (They provide all the info of the driver should a problem arise).

While your trip in Israel, please don't leave any unattended bags or luggage – There is high alert in public places, for suspicious objects.

Travelers intending to visit other neighboring Middle Eastern countries, should  only have  their entry-permit slip stamped with the official stamp. Border police will comply if this is requested on arrival. This helps the traveler to avoid any "evidence" that could bar their entry to countries that do not officially recognize Israel. (Especially if they intend to cross borders over land)

The major cities are a bussle of life for cultural, entertainment and culinary activity. Venues are open until late or early morning.Areas that are stipulated to be out of bounds should be adhered to and thus avoidance is recommended for one's safety.

International media tend to present an often-misleading image as many headlines suggest. Travelers will encounter a folk who Welcome them and wish them an enjoyable stay. Travelers should not be put off and once you have planned your Israel trip you should look forward to a fascinating country that has much to offer.
