Galilee & Golan 3 Day Tour

Day 1:

Exit north along the coast to Caesarea, the ancient Roman Capital and port. Walking tour of the Roman theatre and magnificent ruins and exavations. Continue to Haifa to view of the Bahai gardens, the city, the port and the bay from Mount Carmel. Drive to Rosh Hanikra to visit the spectacular  limestone grottos and view border with Lebanon.  Return via Acre  to visit underground Crusader city and crypt. Walk through the picturesque Old City market. Overnight at kibbutz hotel in north.

Day 2:

Via the coastal plain and the valley of Armageddon to the Churches of Annunciation and St. Joseph in Nazareth. Passing Kfar Cana and the Church of the Miracle of the Multiplication visit Capernaum, at the foot of Mount Beatitudes near the Sea of Galilee. Continue past Tiberias to Yardenit where there is the possibility of a baptismal service for participants. Pass Mount Tabor on the return journey. Overnight at kibbutz hotel in north.

Day 3:

A panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan Valley and the southern Golan heights which we ascend via Hamat Gader. At the Shalom observatory we enjoy the view across the Sea of Galilee from whence we came and at Katzerin we visit both the museum and the excavated remains of the Talmudic city. On Mt. Bental we see the former Syrian fortifications and the Syrian city of Kuneitra across the border. Return to hotels.
