Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Masada & Dead Sea Tour

Day 1:

Start with an overview of Jerusalem from Mount Olives, looking down at the Old City and the Temple Mount. See the Garden of Gethsemane and the monumental burial tombs while driving along the Kidron Valley. Walk past the Armenian Quarter and along the 1500 year old Byzantine Cardo to the Jewish Quarter and on the Kotel - the Western Wall. Follow the Stations of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Enjoy the bazaar in the Christian and Moslem Quarters. Leave Jerusalem for neighboring Bethlehem (City of Bread) hometown of King David and birthplace of Jesus. From Manger Square walk to the Church of Nativity and descend to the grotto, the place where Jesus was laid in the manger. Also visit the Catholic church of St. Catherine, the Greek church, the Milk Grotto where Mary fed Jesus and Shepherd's Fields.

Day 2:

Pass the Inn of the Good Samaritan on the descent through the  Judean Desert  to the Dead Sea. Ascend Masada by cable car and see the remains of the Herodian fortress where the Zealots were overcome by the Romans in 73 CE. Enjoy the therapeutic benefits of a mud bath and a swim in the Dead Sea. On the return journey view the oasis if Ein Gedi, the caves in which the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered at Qumran and Jericho, the oldest city in the world.
